Special prize of Klassikaraadio

Estonian Guitar Society is happy to announce that Klassikaraadio (Classical Radio) has a special prize to be given out at the competition. The composer Lauri Jõeleht will choose the best performances of the compulsory pieces in age groups 4 and 5 and the winners will have the opportunity to record the pieces in Estonia at Klassikaraadio in autumn 2010.

The order of performances of the contestants can now be seen on page "Registered participants".

The organizers are waiting for you at the information desk at the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads as you arrive (from July 12 at 15:00). Please confirm your participation the evening before the day of your performance. In case you plan to arrive the same day and cannot be there the evening before, please let us know.

During the competition the presentations of Estonian guitar builders Viljar Kuusk and Vaido Petser are going to take place at the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads.



In case a registered participant for some reason cannot attend the competition, please let us know as soon as possible! Thank you!

International Youth Guitar Competition "Tallinn 2010"

The International Youth Guitar Competition "Tallinn 2010" evolved from the idea that the competition which was previously held between the Baltic States, should now become open to contestants from all over the world.

The competition takes place from 12-16 July 2010 at the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads. The jury is composed of leading European guitarists and teachers of classical guitar.

There are five age groups at the competition:
I group: born in 1999 and later
II group: born in 1997-1998
III group: born in 1994-1996 
IV group: born in 1990-1993
V group: born in 1974-1989

The competition is held in one round in all the age groups. In addition to the pieces of the contestant’s choice a required piece by an Estonian composer will be performed.
